Believe in the Magic of the Season

Hello folks! Yes, it’s that time of year when I think of making Christmas cards. This one had a lot of detail put into it. Each layer of paper was machine stitched. The horizontal band was run through the Cuttlebug and a scalloped edge was attached. White dots were added with a stylus dipped into acrylic paint. Finally, a poinsetta was added. I really wanted to add more to this card, but I couldn’t think of what to do because the card front seemed busy already. My problem is that I just never know when to stop. Do you have this problem?
Thank you for stopping by!

Stamp: Rubber Stampede; Designer Paper: DCWV Ultimate Christmas Stack; Poinsetta and leaf (unknown source as I threw out the packaging). Image was coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons and OMS.

May 24, 2009 - 07:05:43Beth, there is an amazing amount of detail. What a beautiful card! I’m kinda’ like you – when my son reaches the end of the school year, I start creating things for the holidays – something for the fall, usually, and then LOTS for Christmas.
I love your snowman card – there is a lot to look at but I wouldn’t call it “busy”. It is too nicely balanced.
Your card is perfect not to busy at all! Very well balanced! I do not start to think about Fall or Christmas right now- I need to enjoy the summer yet! LOL! Gorgeous card!
Brilliant card, beth! Love all the little details you put on this one! Can’t believe you are thinking of Christmas card already. I haven’t even stamped in an aweful long time.
Christmas cards in May, that is when I really should start on mine because I never get them done on time

Beth, I am having trouble with the posts in your blog. Your blog is added to my blogroll (sidebar) and there it shows the latest post as a tutorial (6*6 card box) but when I click the link, I can’t see it… the error message says ‘ Page not found’. I have been seeing this update since yesterday. Is it due to our time difference (I should be around 10-12 hours ahead)? Is it a scheduled post?
Your card is lovely, as always.
Hugs,
Smita

Beth love this little guy. Snowmen are favorites of mine and I will need to pull some of mine out soon. I just can’t do the sewing part.
