Congratulations on Your New Home

Sunflowers and Dragonflies, House Card

Happy New Year.  I hope you had a nice holiday season.  Are you in the habit of making New Year’s resolutions?  I’m not, but this year I want to focus on my studio like I did in the good ‘ol days.  I even hope to make video tutorials for you.

Did you do anything to ring in the New Year?  Al and I went downtown and took advantage of the free bus service.  Sarnia is celebrating it’s 100th anniversary so there was an outdoor party complete with fireworks and a ball dropping.  On our way home we stood at the wrong bus stop, so we back tracked and found the buses, and it took us two hours to get home because of the hour wait at the wrong bus stop.  By 2 a.m. we were back home in the warmth of the house and heating blanket.

Please excuse the glue that you can see on my door of my card.  I used a new thin glue pen and I don’t like it.  Waste of money that was.

I work with a girl who just moved into a new apartment so I made this card for her.  To add the glow to the windows I coloured in the windows with Prismacolour pencil crayons and OMS.  I used Martha Stewart punches to create icicles from the chimney and picket fence, and then added a styrofoam tree.  The house template is from Sissix and the windows and doors are dies from Impression Obsession.  Sentiment stamp is from Stampn’ Up!

Happy New Year to you and your family.  May you have a fabulous 2014 year!

Such a cute house.
Memories are made of those kinds of things, right?
No New Year resolutions at this house; just hoping for better things. 🙂

Such a beautiful card here for your friend at work. I like all the fun details on it, it looks awesome.
No there´s no resolutions here either, except from one, which is NOT to buy more paper, until I´ve used at least 75% of what I already have, but with all the new releases, I´m afraid, I have already broken it he he. But else I just hope and pray for a better health this year, that´s all for my part.
A very Happy New Year to you and yours too and let´s hope, that this year will be the best ever for all of us.

I love your house. Your friend will love it. Lol! E-mail me what brand of glue pen that was so I don’t buy it. I hate it when something like a glue pen doesn’t work right.

Stayed home and played with my craft supplies. Lot safer that way especially since there was a freezing rain.

I don’t make resolutions I make goals. Like I did last year I will be using more of what I have and trying more new things. I definitely will be using more of my stamps and paints. I had forgotten how much fun it is to stamp and to paint. My goal is to also organize my crafting area so I can find things. I do however like what I read about not totally clearing off your area as things on your work-space can inspire you.

Wishing you a Happy New Year full of the best that life has to offer.
