Christmas Fairy

christmas-card-watercolour-card-christmas-fairy-stamp-stamps-happen

Good Tuesday morning!

This Christmas fairy card was made for a girl at the office who asked me to make her an elegant Christmas card to send to Holland.  This Stamps Happen image was watercoloured with SU and Tombow markers.

So, tell me, how are you handling the stress of the holiday season this year?  Maybe your holidays are not stressful.  I’d sure love to hear your tales.

I’ll share one of my tales with you.  Before I wrote my post called Belsnickles and Mummers, Oh My! I never heard of a Belsnickle.  Imagine my surprise when I look at my behind-the-scenes stats and found that many people are coming to my blog because they are googling “Belsnickles”.  Go figure.  Hopefully there are some stampers who will keep coming back.

Thoughts?  Got holiday tales to share?

Snowflake hugs,

Beth

A very beautiful and definitely elegant card Beth and your colouring is superb, I love the yellow background, it really makes the image pop off the page! I’m sure the lady that ordered the card will love it. Your punched border is superb, how on earth did you manage to get it to go round the corners like that, it looks wonderful :) ? LOL re Belsnickles and stress…………what stress…………at this stage Christmas will be what it will be :D ! If I’m not back before have a lovely Christmas. Chris

Love the coloring as always. I am sure your colleague will love the card. The image is almost looking 3D :-)
The holiday season… well, as of now, I am enjoying reading about it in all fellow card makers’ blogs. For me, December is one of the best months of the year. Though I am a Hindu by religion and we do not really have to do anything for Christmas, I absolutely love the festival. I think it is very bright and nice during Christmas. Plus, my birthday falls 2 days after Christmas.. on the 27th… so it was always a special season for me as a kid; and I still do look forward to these holidays. Now, with my son going to school, it is also that time of the year when I get into a happy mood; want to bake something new all the time; put up an Xmas tree (though not as early as everyone else does) and a lighted star on my window; i try and get myself some delicious plum cake from the most authentic bakery I can find ;-) ; and I hum carols all month…This time I am happily watching my 3-year old sing ‘Rudolf, the red nosed reindeer…’ and loving it!

Guess my holiday tales just got too long :-)

Hugs from across the oceans,
Smita

Oh my heavens girlfriend! This is stunning! Colored to perfection and all the right touches! As you know Christmas is a hard stressful time for me. We are planning on going sledding Christmas Eve then to candle light church service on Christmas Day we will be @ Leighia’s Mom’s house for dinner. We are going to the waterpark after Christmas this year so that Leighia can go with us! SMILE!

OMG, elegant it is! This is one of your most beautiful creations ever! Thanks for sharing it! I don’t have any strange ‘visitors’ on my blog, but I do have one showing up in my dashboard that does NOT show up on my list of blogs I am following! Anyone know how to delete him? His name is Steve, and he’s a cutie, but I’m not at all interested in his mortgage and finance blogs!!! I know how to manage the ones that are listed, but not the ones that show up but are not listed! Silly, huh??? Beautiful card, my friend! No Christmas stresses for me this year except a very worrisome dr. appt. on thursday!

This is Sooo Beautiful Beth!!…and Very Elegant!!
All our kids are coming home Christmas Eve…so we are going to have our supper that evening. I’m afraid thought that I’m a little behind with my shopping and never got any baking done. Have had a touch of the flu the last little while….but things will get done. Will make a little trip to the farmers market this week to pick up a little baking. Meanwhile…Happy Holidays!!…Hugs, Ila

I love this fairy much more than the ones you posted earlier, and the holly at the corners, and the punched border – this is a superlative card!
