Birds of a Feather and blog candy
Birds are the rage right now, and I’m just one of those gals who has to be with the “in” crowd when it comes to bird images. They have been around for a long time in altered books, and now rubber stampers are lov’n them. Want to see a bird in a journal? Peak at my friend Kim’s book. Can you guess what puzzles me about WordPress today? Well, I’ll tell ya–I can’t figure out how to put my words BESIDE my photos. What does life have to be so confusing?
Here’s a close-up of my images that were coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons and OMS, and then painted with Twinkling H2O’s. I had a request to do a tutorial with respect to giving your images an extra punch, so I’ll do that soon for you. Leave me a comment and your name will be entered into the draw for blog candy. A picture of the prize will be posted tomorrow.
Thank you for stopping by.
Don’t miss out on my weekly tutorials–subscribe today.

Love your bright and cheery birds on this fun card!!!!!
Love the birdies in their beautiful green and blue. They look so radiant. Here’s a hint on how to get the writing next to your photos…
Insert the photo into your post. Once the image shows up click on it once.
Go to the little icons right above the post and find the one that looks like a little tree and click on it.
A window will pop open and from the “Alignment” dropdown box select “left” if you want the picture on the left of the words. Right will put the image on the right side of your post. I’m not sure about the other ones but you can experiment.
When you have the image where you want it you select “update” and that will take you back to your post.
Hope this helps. *:D Aloha!
Oh Beth, I’ve missed you! I had to find you — and thought of your blog. WOWZA girlfriend! This is some blog! I just subscribed, I have to visit here more often! Hope you are well. Nancy BTW — sorry about your computer — is it hopeless? I know they can often retrieve stuff from crashed hard drives… Good luck!
You know I LOVE these birds Beth, they are gorgeous, girl!! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex
This is lovely! Such awesome coloring! I have such a hard time posting every day – but I’m trying. Tons of ideas but not enough time (like most people I guess).
I’ve been advised to switch to World Press and tie my blog to my site. Was it really painful? I’m getting all tweeky at the thought of learning even more computer-ese. The HTML stuff is enough!
Sweet candy you are celebrating with. You are going to make 1 stamper very creative when this shows up in their mail.
I would like to see some tutorials on Christmas gifts and ideas for kids to make for Christmas.
How do you decide how you are going to make your card? Do you pick out a stamp, colors, or ribbon and then build on that?
Thanks for a chance.
Hi Beth! Wow that’s some blog candy. I am off to change the link on my blog to your new blog. I didn’t realize that I still had your old one until just now. Love the birds – and the new blog.
