Stampin Up! Christmas Stamp Camp

Yahoo, it’s the weekend.  A time to catch up on the laundry, go grocery shopping, buy new clothes for the kids, play board games with the kids, get hair cuts, run into Staples for something your forgot to buy earlier, fight with you computer printer, entertain your friends and family.  Whew!  It’s time to get back to work just to rest.  I know I’m tired out just reading what has to be done.

Ontario, Canada, is soon having our electricity Smart Meters  kick in where we pay more for electricity during peak hours.  Kind of a bummer since we need heat and air during those times.  The cheapest time to do laundry is after 9 p.m. (when I’m in bed), or weekends.  Any other time is double and triple the cost.  I’ve been good in getting on board before the smart meter kicks in.  That way I’m prepared.  Laundry is done strictly on the weekends in my house.  Stains in clothes?  So, Donnie, don’t get stains on your clothes because you’ll have to wait until the weekend to get then cleaned!  And buy more candles!

Now that my rant is over, I can share this card for you.  It’s a darling one from Sue Gatza.  A bunch of us had to make 16 cards and all we had to do is glue the pieces together.  Isn’t it darling?

Smart meters? I hadn’t heard of them, but I guess they make sense. I’m glad to hear you’re working well with it. I wonder when they’ll make it out to Alberta? Your card is wonderful! Love all things precut…that sense of accomplishment must be overwhelming after a class!!!

We have the same over here Beth, only ours are midnight to 7am. There are savings though, ‘coz your fridge/freezer, PC and TV etc are mostly on after the deadline, so you save quite a bit that way.
If you use timers on your sockets, the dishwasher and tumble dryer could go on at night too as well as the washing machine, timed to start after 9pm.

Well, as for this card…It’s a little cracker! Actually, it’s a bauble but you know what I mean! LOL

We have something similar on Long Island in NY. I think it starts at 11PM. I try to use my diswasher after that hour. Laundry I do whenever because it’s just 2 of us now so I don’t have that much. I don’t know about other States but my monthly electric bill is $124.00. Have no idea how that compares to others. They adjust it up or down at the end of the year.
Love the card.
