Technique Junkies April Blog Hop

Hello friends.  Welcome to the April 2017 blog hop by Technique Junkies.  If you’ve arrived from the talented Ro Donner’s blog you’re on the right track.  Didn’t her work look wonderful?  You might want to start at the beginning of the hop at Design Junkies blog so you don’t miss a thing.  You’re in for a treat.

Pssst…did you know Technique Junkies is now on Facebook? You can join up and be inspired here.

“Great news! From now through April 8th, you will receive 15% off the NEW April Release stamps — PLUS you can receive 10% off anything else you order using this code:TJ10Beth (excludes clearance and Distress Oxide Inks/Reinkers). The April stamp discount will automatically be added at checkout. We can all use a bit of savings, right?”

As many of you know by now, I have a love for colouring which is my number one choice in mediums.  I coloured this #S740 Flowers and Feathers Collage stamp with Prismacolor pencil crayons and odorless mineral spirits.

Here I used #SD751 Long-Stemmed Rose and #SDX094 A Single Rose sentiment.  My choice of medium were true watercolours.  I had fun painting again.

For this card I used #SD766 Heart in Hands.  I used blue Liquid Pearls to add dots to my die, and I added Glossy Accents to the heart.  Can you see the shine?  I tried to go with a vintage feel and don’t know how successful I was, but here it is.

Links to the April 1st release stamps can be found here.

Your next stop will be at the delightful Judy Jackson’s blog where she has something special for you. Judy has been around with Technique Junkies for years working with the Technique Junkie Newsletter and does a variety of techniques.  She won’t disappoint so hop on over.

I’m in love with the collage creation here…you did a fabulous job with those pencils and your passion for coloring shines right off this page in each card. Your “Heart in Hands” card does look vintage and it’s adorable. Beautiful work as always, Beth.

Beth, your creativity is clearly evident in two so-very-different cards. The coloring is lovely in your first card. The detail you put into the second–vintage–card is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

They are all wonderful, I love the first the most, probably because I love birds and flowers 🙂 Especially love the coloring of the leaves in the second and such a lovely sentiment and the glossy on your heart really makes it pop and draws you into the card!
