Happy Birthday Sarah
My daughter just had her 25th birthday and to help her celebrate, I made her a polymer clay mirror How long did it take me to make this mirror? 18 hours. Because I like bright colours, I painted my tiles instead of just stamping on them.
My girlfriend Kim, likes to do mixed media in small spaces, and I like to paint in small spaces.
Inspiration for these tiles came from the talented Laura Mika, whose book I purchased and studied. I had no idea that so much work went into Laura’s work until I tried it myself.
I am so anxious to start working with polymer clay again, so I can make a mirror for myself.

Gorgeous, Gorgeous mirror! I love it! What a super job you’ve done with it. Don’t you just love Laura’s book, her projects boggle the mind. Sadly, I’ve yet to do anything from it. I have not picked up polymer clay in about a year, sad cause I love it, but not enough hours in a day – LOL! Enjoy your weekend. I am sure that Sarah is going to love this gift!

Hi Beth,
I LOVE your beautiful mirror, I’m sure that your daughter loved it too, what a lovely keepsake to treasure. A dear friend of mine has done a class with Laurie Mika and while we were at a Stamp Camp weekend recently, she made a gorgeous piece and inspired me greatly. I think I had better get out my Polymer Clay after now seeing your mirrow as well. If you would like to check out Martina artwork, here is her blog

Fabulous Beth! I bet your Daughter has this in pride of place, it’s so beautiful. I’m amazed, it’s so intricate and there’s so much detailed work, I would have thought it would take so much longer to make, but I think when you have a deadline like your DD’s birthday…..:D. I look forward to seeing the mirror you make for yourself.
WOW Beth, Sarah is a very lucky young lady!!! That is an incredible piece of art!! Wish her a happy B-day from me and I can’t wait to see more of your polymer clay play!!!!
