Technique Junkies October New Release

Hello, and welcome to the October release of the Technique Junkies stamps.  You’re in for a treat today.  Did you start from the Design Junkies blog?  If not you may want to start there so you don’t miss all the beautiful work that the design team made for you today.  If you came from Ro Donner’s blog then you’re on the right track.  Didn’t you just love Ro’s work?

Newly released stamps will be on sale for 15% off until October 8th.

My first card uses Give Thanks and was coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons and OMS.  I made 8 of these to send off to friends and family for Thanksgiving.

This fun card uses Abstract Checks (not a new release).  I chose this stamp because it is a little wonky and goes with the sentiment on Most Girls.  I coloured my background with Copics.

My Christmas card uses two stamps:  Let it Snow (Oct release) and Snowflakes  (old release).  The background was created by clear embossing the Snowflakes stamp and sponging on two different colours of blue over the entire surface.  My image was coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons and OMS.

This was a fun card to make.  I used Crinkled Watercolours technique on my background and then stamped Texture Stars over top of my background.  Judy Jackson was my inspiration behind using vellum and she uses it a lot and I like how it looks.  I used white embossing powder on my vellum and used Good Night (not a new release).  Next, I added white stars to my card.

Your next stop is the very talented Vicki Garrett.

Fabulous cards, Beth. Great coloring on the Thanksgiving card and love, love, love the bg stamp for the girl. Great bg for the snowman too and the crinckled watercolor technique for the stars was perfect!

I especially love your final card. It is striking in its simplicity. Although, it is not a simple card to make. I’m inspired to try that Crinkled Watercolours technique.

What fantastic cards! Thank you for using the crinkled watercolor technique as I haven’t used that technique in years. Time to revisit it!

Gosh, so happy I don’t have to choose a favorite! Although, I’m as partial to snowmen as you are to owls! Another great release that’s been showcased beautifully by you and your DT partners! Love these, Beth!
