You are the World

Good day stamping friends.  Today I created a card using a Technique Junkie technique, but for the life of me I can’t find my note with the details so I will share them with you below.  I used You are the World, from Technique Junkies.

Did you know that new release stamps are 15% off (automatic discount at the end of your order) until January 8th, and everything else is 10% off if you use my code TJ10Beth.  The 10% discount is good 24/7.

The flower from You are the World set was coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons and Odorless Mineral Spirits.  I like how this stamp coordinates with my designer paper so well.  It blends right in.  Step-by-Step tutorial below.

Step-by-Step Tutorial

  • Cut bold designer paper at 5 1/2″ x 4″
  • Using a wet paint brush paint Gesso on top of your image.  Make sure your Gesso is watered down so that it does not cover your images up.  I was able to keep it thick enough to allow my sentiment to be stamped on top of the designer paper, yet thin enough that my flowers remained visible
  • Let dry completely or to speed up drying process you can use a heat gun
  • using a stencil brush, or small sponge, rub ink over top of your designer paper in areas you wish to highlight.  For my piece I just went over the flowers
  • Stamp your sentiment over top of your designer paper if desired and add your stamped image

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh my gosh, Beth, I love this! It’s so soft and pretty, and that sentiment is my next TJ purchase! I’m doing a volunteer class for some preschool moms in April, and they have requested we do Mothers Day projects. Thanks for the inspiration, my friend!
