Our Deepest Condolences

Hello folks!   Sympathy cards are always so hard to do, but after I made this card, I felt it was fitting for a sympathy card.  For a 10% discount on the stamps I used, or any other product from Technique Junkies simply use my code TJ10Beth.

Here are the steps I did to make this card:

  • Press Distress Oxides onto a silicone mat and spritz with water
  • Take your watercolour paper or 110 lb paper and smoosh the paper into the wet Distress Oxides
  • Let dry completely
  • With a pale ink, add music notes. Here I used Technique Junkies Vintage Music
  • Next stamp a silhouette image over top of the background.  Here I used Growing Wild
  • Add your sentiment.  Here I used With Sympathy, set of 5
  • Add a butterfly or other embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by!

Very pretty background with the subtle music notes. It does making a fitting sympathy. Whenever I have a card going that direction, I take it because that is a better way to get Sympathy cards in your stash than waiting till you need one. Have a good day, Beth!

Beth, this is so pretty, and I love the sentiment! I have a tough time finding sentiments with ‘our’ instead of me or I! Thanks for sharing…now I know where to find some great sentiments! Hugs…!

that is just lovely, pretty colors for the background, like the soft stamping and great use of the silhouette
