Technique Junkies July New Release Blog Hop and Sale

Welcome to the July release of Technique Junkies stamps and sale.  From now until July 8th, new release stamps are 15% off, and to further excite you, you can take 10% off the rest of your order by using my code TJ10Beth.  New release stamps are automatically discounted, so there is room for my code.

Did you arrive from Judy Jackson’s wonderful blog?  Wasn’t she a treat?  If you did arrive from Judy’s blog you are certainly on the right track.  I do encourage you to start at the beginning of the hop at the Design Junkies blog so you don’t miss a thing.

My first card is called Triple the Fun.  The Technique Junkie Newsletter tutorial can be viewed here.  I thought this Play Like a Pirate stamp set was perfect to make because it shows off so many of the stamps in the set of 7.  I liked it so much that I made a few more to give as birthday cards to some male friends of mine.  I used an older stamp called Happy Birthday 3.

Here I used three stamp sets.  The two that are new releases are Seashell Borders, set of 2, and Floral Mermaid.  My sentiment is from an older set called Psalms of the Sea, Set of 6.  I coloured my image with Prismacolor coloured pencil and odorless mineral spirits and painted Twinkling H2O’s around my images.

My third, and last card, uses two new stamps which are Floral Mermaid and Seagrass.  I masked my mermaid and stamped Seasgrass out twice and painted the grass with Twinkling H2O’s.  My older sentiment comes from Psalms of the Sea, Set of 6.

Your next stop is at Lynda Pleckan’s blog, and boy does she have something nice to show you.

These are really cute, Beth! I like the neat knot stamps. The mermaid is so cute how you colored her too. Great job showcasing these new stamps!

these are so cute, I still haven’t tried the technique you use in the first card, and I the little mermaid is just too cute, I really love the shells in the first one, and the gold touches in the last one 🙂
