How to make Art Squares
Have you wondered how you can use up your scraps of paper? Well, this is just the tutorial for you. It’s quick, easy, and pretty cute.
Supplies:
Cuttlebug
Corner Punch
Square Nestabilities (or a square punch or cut your own squares on your paper cutter)
Cut your paper into 1″ pieces
Cut out 12 pieces of cardstock or designer paper. See my tips for suggestions.
Use a corner rounder punch and cut one side and then the side directly across from the first cut side
Start to adhere your squares to the card front.
Continue adding all of your squares and finish your card as desired.
Tips
- Use up your scraps instead of cutting into new paper
- Designer paper or cardstock can be used.
- Run designer paper and cardstock through the Cuttlebug
- Distress paper before it is cut with the corner rounder
- Try using just squares without using the corner rounder
- Use coloured cardstock for card front instead of white
- Cut four of each colour
- Arrange cut pieces on card front before gluing down to ensure two colours are not touching each other
- Add an image to the card front
