Stampscapes Meet Gingersnap Creations
The Technique Junkie Newsletter is sponsoring Gingersnap Creations. This week’s challenge is to create a card using a scene. For your chance to win an Emboss or Die CD, play along and make a scene card and post it to the Gingersnap Creations blog. My card uses the Resist and Reveal Technique.
Scene is created by using 5 stamps. Oh how I love my new Stampscapes stamps. Flourish is from Fancy Pants and sentiment is from Stampin’ Up. These help to make 7 stamps on my card. Designer paper is from BasicGray.
Thank you for stopping by friends.

HAve a wonderful week ahead, and thanks sooo much for sharing this beauty here with us to enjoy.
this is really stunning! Love the sun in the sky! Have a great day!.
Hi Beth! Thanks for all of your lovely comments about my Stampscape cards on my blog! I’m trying to come up with something’different’ all the time so they don’t look redundant.
Your card is gorgeous!! The colouring is perfection and I’m now going to try colouring my next sky like yours! Your papers are so pretty… Come to think of it, I have that same paper in my stash!
You asked about me using glossy paper. You bet! I’ve found that basic photo paper works fine for Stampscapes and colouring with a stylus. When brayering, I’ve found it best to use the good glossy and I pay around 40 cents a sheet.
Ink colours fade quite a bit on glossy, if you use Adirondack or Memento. To keep most of the deep colour I spray the finished scene with Krylon Acrylic crystal clear spray that dries in 10 minutes.
Sometimes I like the colours to fade overnight because they may seem too intense. You can go in and adjust everything the next day and usually end up with something you like a lot more!
I’ll be posting a tips and tricks tut sometime soon. Keep your eyes peeled.
Have a great week! I’ll look forward to seeing more of your work!
Hugs,
Sheree
