Be Mine
Hello. Did you have a nice Valentine’s Day? I was spoiled with a fresh orchid, a fresh arrangement, chocolates and a darling card. I hope you had a good day too.
I wanted to make my man a card that wasn’t all pink and red so I decided to start with a black background which I embossed with a heart embossing folder. Then I used the Banner Technique from the Technique Junkie Newsletter this month. Rather than using designer paper, I created my own by heat embossing on the turquoise and red banners. I stamped onto the pink paper with red ink, using a Hero Arts stamp. The sentiment is a dollar stamp from Michael’s (with inflation it was $1.50–LOL). My ribbon is from Michael’s as well.
Coincidentally, the Valentine Card I received is all black with a little red. Great minds think alike as they say.

What a cool man card.
Myrna
Great card, Beth! And how much fun that your cards were so much alike
DH and I have done that a few times over the years too, even said the same thing one time! Sounds like you were spoiled on Valentine’s Day – so happy to hear it! Hugs…
Great man’s card Bethe, so glad that you had such a happy Valentine’s day.
Hugs,
Rob
That should read “Beth” sorry.
A very cool card Beth, and glad to hear you were sooo spoiled. Here we´re not celebrating Valentimes day, thoug the young people are starting to adopt the day a bit, probably mostly because the stores try to make them, so no cards or anything here.
Love your card. I see we both have the same heart embossing folder. The papers you created for the banner is beautiful.
Happy to hear that you were spoiled. If anyone deserves to be spoiled it is you.
Ooh! Looks like Washi tape Beth! Smashing way of doing a banner effect! Just the ticket for a manly card! xxx
