Christmas Cocktail-Four Ways

Hello fellow stampers and friends.  Today I’m using Technie Junkie’s Christmas Cocktail and made four styles for you.  I just love this stamp. It is perfect for those friends who enjoy a drink for the holidays.  I also like it for the humour on it.

I created a colourful stamped out image by placing my image in my Misti and colouring small areas at a time with a Tombow and SU markers right onto the stamp.  Then I huff to rewet the marker and repeat approximately three times per area so I get a nice crisp colour.  I found it relaxing while I watched Christmas movies on TV.  Yes indeed, I’m in the Christmas spirit.

The bow die came from a UK papercrafts magazine.

Here I used gold paper from Paper Garden.ca.  It is nice and heavy and comes in many colours.  I embossed my background with a poinsettia-like embossing folder.

I don’t often use ribbon, so I wanted to see how ribbon would look with this image.

Now for my favourite version.  Sadly, I ruined the right hand side as the black was not even.  Again, I used the gold from Paper-Garden.ca.

Which one is your favourite?

Stampn’ Up! Saturday – Painted Harvest

Hi folks!  Sorry I am a day late.  Yesterday was a jammed packed day with grocery shopping, putting up the Christmas tree, three hour nap and then date night with Al.  We saw Murder on the Orient Express and went out for a nice steak.  Considering I just finished my card yesterday, you can see why I had no time to post.

So long to fall; we had our first snow.  I quite enjoyed it.

Now onto my card.  I used Painted Harvest on Triple the Fun card that I filmed a tutorial for Technique Junkies way back in 2013.  You can find the tutorial here.

The inks I used were a variety of Distress Inks, and Adirondak inks as my SU pads are drying up because they are so old.  I decided as I need new ones I’ll order the new pad along with the reinker as the new pads are newly designed and so juicy.  My greens are Old Olive and Hunter Green from SU.

The green paper I used is retired Hunter Green.

Have a nice weekend.

Day 24 of 30 Days of Christmas

Hello fellow stampers and friends.  Are you following Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas?

I thought it would be fun to make a Bendi fold card for you.  I started by stamping out Santa Moonlight several times with my Misti.  When the image was good and dark I masked off my moon and created Northern Lights for the sky.

In the forefront I used Bunny Girl which I fussy cut, and then added a funky tree.

I curved the front of my card and added Stampn’ Up DP with snowflakes.

The 30 days runs from October 15th to November 13th.  During this time all Christmas stamps are 20% off, and if you use my code TJ10 Beth, you get an extra 10% off–making your savings 30% off.

Hope this puts you in the Christmas mood.

Stampn’ Up! Saturday – Birthday Hedgehogs

Hi folks!  No doubt, if you’re a Stampn’ Up! fan, you’ve seen these critters around. My dad used to have a hedgehog and my son wants one so bad.  So, for my son’s birthday he will just have to settle on paper hedgehogs instead of the real thing.  All products are Stampn’ Up! including this delightful designer paper.

I followed a tutorial by Tina ZinkFrenchie has also done a wonderful video as well.

My hedgehogs and foilage came from the set Painted Harvest, and the grass came from the set High Tide.  I didn’t have any faces as shown in the videos so I drew mine on with a marker.

These are fun to make and I hope I’ve inspired you to try making your own set of hedgehogs.

Technique Junkies November New Release

Welcome to the November release hop for Technique Junkies.  You won’t want to miss a thing so head on over to the Design Junkies blog,  If you came from Ro Donner’s blog then you’re on the right track.  Ro is a very talented lady, wouldn’t you agree?   From now until November 8th, new release stamps are 15% off.

Coffee, coffee, coffee.  Can’t live without it and this darling stamp set says it all.  I used the background stamp Cups’n Mugs and the sentiment is Buy Coffee.  To achieve this colourful look I coloured on my stamp with a Tombow marker and huffed on the stamp and stamped it out with my Misti.  I repeated this action three times for every image to get nice crisp lines.

Here I used the Shaving Cream technique for my background.  Using my Misti I stamped out my image several times.  Bigger Bow is the stamp that was used.  Next, I added my own paper bow using a bow die.

Christmas is a time for celebration and along with that are dinner parties, Christmas parties, and just a whole lot of fun.  This would make a lovely thank you for the host/hostess.  Here I used Flatware and Grand Greetings.

I hope you liked these super awesome new images.  Your next stop is at Judy Jackson’s blog.  You will be in for a real treat from this talented lady.

Hold on there.  Don’t leave before reading this important news.  It is also 30 Days of Christmas and there is 20% off all Christmas stamps, plus if you use my code TJ10Beth you get an extra 10% off.  If you are purchasing a non-Christmas stamp 10% will be applied with my code.  Happy shopping.

Day 10 of the 30 Days of Christmas

Hello fellow stampers and friends.  Are you following Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas?  Pat and her Design Team are showing off Christmas cards for 30 days.  Not only are all Christmas stamps 20% off but if you use the code TJ10Beth, you get an extra 10% off, so that is a 30% savings.

Here I used Cocktail Joy.  I placed it in my Misti and coloured individual areas with Tombow markers and huffed on the coloured area and stamped it out.  I coloured and huffed three times in each of the areas I coloured with marker.  The holly leaves were coloured in lightly with a light green Chameleon coloured pencil.

My dear friend, Nancy Gibson, sent me a wonderful goodie box for my birthday and included in that box was Frantage Encrusted Jewels which I sprinkled on the side of my image and used a heat gun to set my jewels.  To prevent them from blowing away, I followed the recommendation to heat from underneath.  Pretty cool, eh?

Thank you for stopping by!

Stampn’ Up! Saturday – Lovely as a Tree

Whoop, whoop, it’s the weekend and I’m off work this weekend.  I was on 3-11 last week and had lots of energy to make loads of cards before I went to work.  I even had time to join in on a challenge this week.  The challenge was to make a reflection which I did by stamping on acetate and pressing it upside down under my stamped trees.

I thought this would make a great masculine card for my friend who is undergoing knee surgery in November.

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy your weekend.

Sentiment is also Stampn’ Up!

Happy Birthday, Sarah

Hello folks.  Another October birthday is upon me.  This time it’s my daughter’s birthday.  I used Technique Junkies Hello Cupcake, set of 7 and paired it with the Washi Herringbone technique from the February 2014 issue of the Technique Junkie Newsletter.

Happy Birthday, Sarah.
