Sunflowers and Dragonflies Creative Designs
Here comes Peter Cotton Tail, hopping down the bunny trail. Don’t you remember singing that as a kid? Easter was always so special. We woke up to the Easter Bunny’s arrival and had new dresses for church. My Polish grandmother would take mom, my sisters and I to church to have our Easter baskets (filled with food) blessed. As I got older I continued on with my own tradition and sewed matching dresses for my daughter, Sarah, and I.
What is your Easter tradition? I would love to hear about it.
Easter will be here soon, so we thought we would get creative and get ahead of the game by creating something for Easter. We are excited to announce that:
We now carry JustRite stamps
To view our stamps click here
Here is what set we used today:

The fun thing about JustRite is that they sell their wooden handle separately, so you can interchange a variety of sets. Each stamp is interlocking and fits snuggly into the handle. The circular sentiments are separate from the center image so you can change the colour of your ink or use a different sentiment.
The Design Team have created some cute projects for you…

Kim’s card

Jennifer’s card

Karen’s basket

ATC's,
S&D Challenge

Howdy. Can it really be Saturday already?! Where does the time go. I can’t believe it’s the end of January. Are you feeling the same way?
We love our ATC’s here at Sunflowers and Dragonflies, so we’re doing another ATC challenge. If you are looking for stamps that are perfect for ATC’s, may I suggest our very own Beautiful Life series. These ladies have coordinating flourishes and fit perfectly on an ATC. These stamps can be stamped just as-is or can be coloured in. Our ladies are ethnic in origin too.
My card uses the recent Side Step Card technique from Splitcoast Stampers. The decorative paper was made using the Technique Junkie’s Waxy Cuttlebug technique. The ATC uses our Melody and Melody Flourish, and the sunflower was made using Spellbinder’s sunflower die cut. Many layers of yellows, oranges, burgundy and brown ink brought the flower to life. The butterfly is from K&Co.
This week’s prize
Any two of our beautiful ladies and their coordinating flourishes

Kim used Cheyenne and Cheyenne Flourish

Beth used Amber and Amber Flourish

View of Beth’s ATC closed. BasicGrey DP was used as well.

Cathy used Cheyenne and Cheyenne Flourish as well as BasicGrey

Karen used Lottie and Lottie Flourish

Jerusha used Amber Flourish, Amber and Joy

Rose used Melody and Melody Flourish

Beth used Cheyenne
To be eligible for this weeks prize drawing, please post a direct link to your challenge project from either your blog or an online gallery to the Sunflowers and Dragonflies blog, specifically on the Challenge #26 Blog Post, so we can view it. If you upload to an online gallery, please use the keyword SD25. Don’t forget to add Sunflowers and Dragonflies name and link on your post.

Do we have a treat for you! Inchies and Twinchies are today’s challenge, and let me tell you my design team pulled out all the stops to create the most awesome projects for you this week. This is definately my favourite challenge yet!
My card uses cupcake stamps. They were stamped onto watercolour paper and watercoloured with Tombow and Stampin’ Up markers. The background is the Waxy Cuttlebug technique from the Technique Junkie Newsletter. Our cupcake stamps come in a variety of sizes and can be purchased individually or in a set. Our set includes four cupcakes and five sentiments.
Do you want to see what’s up for grabs this week?

The prize consists of all our 1 1/4″ cupcakes.
Need inspiration? Just look at what the design team has for you….

Karen used Chocolate Dipped Strawberry

Jerusha used Joy Flourish

Kim created inchies for other projects. She used the Alice in Wonderland accessory set

Beth made an inchie book and here is the cover. This cute little girl came from Cricut’s Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. Designer paper is BasicGrey’s Urban Praire.

all images are Alice in Wonderland

Jennifer created an inchie mosaic with Picking Flowers. The sentiment comes from Four Seasons.

Kim used the cat from the Alice in Wonderland accessory set
