My second New Years resolution is to lose 30 pounds.  I’ve lost 41 pounds since August so I think 30 more is doable.  What is your New Years Resolution?

Hello friends.  Today I have a technique from the Technique Junkie Newsletter called Jenny’s coat.  Isn’t it pretty.  My paper is from Stampin’ Up! in the colours of Real Red and Kiwi Kiss.  Designer paper is from K&Co.

Using the same colour combination as above, I added my handmade polymer clay buttons.  I love the distressed look of my buttons, don’t you?  I’ll let you in a little secret.  My distressed buttons were created by accidentally burning them in the oven.

Hello friends.  Today I have a fun technique for you, it is coloured paper piecing.  You will notice this cute owl is wearing a dress, but did you notice I enhanced things by blending Prismacolor pencil crayons on the waste and under the collar.

Supplies:

Stamp with large open area

designer paper

Prismacolor pencil crayons

blending stump

odorless mineral spirits

Stamp out your image twice–once on designer paper and once on white cardstock

Cut out stamped area (I just cut the dress out)

Colour areas that you want to darken, such as above and below the belt, and under the collar.

With a blending stump and odorless mineral spirits, blend your Prismacolor pencil crayons.
