A Partridge In A Pear Tree
Odd Bird Planet has the funniest Twelve Days of Christmas Stamps, which I will be showcasing throughout the month of November.
I see this stamp on the elegant side, although it doesn’t have to be so formal. The image was stamped onto watercolour paper and watercoloured with Tombow markers. The image was stamped twice, and the pears were cut out and placed on top of the main image, with pop dots. Have a great day!

Snow in the House
My baby is here. Snow is no bigger than her beanie baby.
Snow is very affectionate and loves to give kisses.
After a long night playing, Snow cuddled up and fell asleep for an hour.
Our first night went well. She cried for only 15 minutes.

Tutorial Tuesday: Peel-Off’s Christmas Ornaments
This week’s tutorial involves Peel-Off stickers, which can be substituted for another sticker that looks like it has been heat embossed when mounted onto a surface. At the end of this tutorial, I will have links for purchasing these stickers. For those of you in my area, Sarnia Craft Supply carries a wide variety of these stickers, as does Stamp Art, in London. If you do not have these stickers, you can substitute with other decorative stickers. Today I will show you two ways to use stickers.
Supplies:
- Stickers
- Permanet markers
- Vellum
- Christmas ornaments
- Pop dots
Very carefully peel off sticker and mount onto ornament.
With permanent markers, colour in open areas of the sticker.
Colour entire image.
For a 3-D effect, place sticker onto vellum.
Colour in image.
Use pop dots for added dimension.
My livingroom tree is now decorated for Christmas.
I’m setting up the rest of my Christmas ornaments and tree next week.
Are you getting ready for the holidays yet?

Someone played a trick on my cat
It looks like someone played a trick on my cat instead of giving out a treat.
To help him out, bats fly around to scare tricksters away.
This cute little image was received in a Halloween swap I joined over at the Stamp Shack.

Tutorial Tuesday – Embossing on Candles
Today on Tutorial Tuesday I will show you how to dress up your candle
with embossing powder.
Supplies:
- Candle
- Embossing Powder
- VersaMark
- Tissue Paper
- Heat gun
- Stamps
- Gems
- Wax paper (not in photo)
Trim tissue paper to size of candle.
Stamp into VersaMark, then cover area with embossing powder.
Heat emboss, keeping heat gun 6 to 8 inches away from tissue paper to avoid scorching.
Continue decorating tissue paper with embossing powder.
Cut wax paper to size of candle. Place overtop of tissue paper and gently heat.
This step works the tissue paper into the candle.
Be careful not to overheat the wax on the candle.
Add decorative gems.
