Wild Thing

where-the-wild-things-are

My 20 year old son asked me to go to the movies with him on Saturday.   Adan said he remembered me reading him this book as a kid and thought I would enjoy the movie with him.  Wasn’t that sweet of him?!

Great movie and good for a laugh.  The only odd thing was there was no story line.  Oh well, we laughed out loud at the mudball war.

One Martini, Two Martini, Three Martini Floor

stamping-bella-one-martini-two-martini-three-martini-floor

Tried something a little different–a clean and simple card.  It was hard not to put flowers on this card, I tell ya.  This new-to-me Stamping Bella image was coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons and OMS and then painted with H2o’s.  I think my daughter will like her birthday card.  She is 24, so no more kid cards for her.

Happy Birthday, Sarah!

Birthday Wishes Sent With a Fairy

stamping-bella-birthday-card

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian viewers.  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

I apologize for my background taking so long to download–I’m hearing from many.  Don’t know what happened and am looking into it.

This card was made for a co-worker who wanted a birthday card for her girlfriend.  I was delighted when she said a fairy would be nice because it gave me a chance to stamp out my new Stamping Bella image.

stamping-bella-birthday-card-closeup

I have people ask me to make my images clickable so they can see my images close up.  Well, I’m on WordPress, and I don’t think that can be done.  I took a close up of my image and kept it in a large size, so I hope this helps you a little.

Coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons and OMS.  Painted with Twinkling H2O’s.  Paper:  Basic Grey; Flowers:  Prima

Enjoy your long weekend.

Stamping hugs,  Beth

S&D Challenge 12: Artist Trading Cards

alice3

Kim uses Alice in Wonderland

Thank you for joining us for our 12th challenge. How the time goes quickly. This week’s challenge is all about ATC’s.  ATC’s are traded, and can be used on other projects.

Artist Trading Card (ATC) Trivia

  • ATC’s are never sold–only traded
  • ATC’s are the size of a baseball card–2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ (6 cm x 9 cm)
  • ATC’s are minature works of art
  • The idea of making ATC’s was born in 1997 by Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann.  He wanted to document his work, and the work of others at the conference, and discovered that the cost was far to grand to print a catalogue of the 1,200 participants.  Stirnemann decided to create 1,200 cards by hand so that he could distribute them to everyone who attended the art show.  Everyone was encouraged to do the same, and at the end of the show, the ATC’s were traded.  This was a very successful idea that rapidly spread across the world.
  • Details including artist name, name of the ATC, contact information, and numbering, are written on the backside.

Your challenge this week is to create an ATC. Don’t have one of our stamps? That’s okay, we still want to see you play along. Rules are simple: link back your project to us, and let your blog viewers know you are playing along in our challenge. Our prize this week is the Alice in Wonderland series of stamps.

Have you checked out our new website yet?!

Let’s see what the team has for you this week.
