Idiot me, put a comment about this tip on the last post, not this one! It’s a great tip and I think it also works for the Big Shot plates too. They aren’t cheap those plates, so this tip is a great money saver Beth! Thanks for sharing. xxx

I was thinking this could be used for almost any embossing/die cutting machine. The manufacture of my new toy suggests changing what end you put in first. So if the end with the B goes in first one time then put it in the next time with the B last. That is suppose to cut down on the plate warping.

It works with any of the plates, but you don´t need to leave them there this long, just make sure they´re warmed all through and then take them out and leave them under the pressure until they´ve cooled completely down, then they´re almost as good as new afterwards, that´s for sure, and if the cuttingplates has got many scratches in the surface, then give them a bit in the owen without the foil, it´ll smoothen the cracks quite a bit on them too, but make sure you keep an eye on them in the owen then, so they wount get too much then. But it does make them much smoother this way and works much longer.

Thanks for sharing, my CB plates have been warped for a long time and the tip of putting them in one end then the other end never seemed to work for me! Now maybe I can have some decent flatter plates again!
