Technique Junkies March Blog Hop

Technique Junkies, Sunflowers and Dragonflies, Owls 1

Welcome to the Technique Junkie release party.  Today we are having a blog hop that will showcase March’s new releases, and boy oh boy are you in for a treat.  You’ll want to start at the beginning so please visit the Design Junkies blog to begin.  If you arrived from Robin Redd’s blog, you’re certainly on the right track.  I love Robin’s work and how well she showcased the newly released stamp.

AS ALWAYS, NEWLY RELEASED MARCH STAMPS WILL BE ON SALE UNTIL MARCH 8TH.  THEY WILL BE 15% OFF.

Technique Junkies, Sunflowers and Dragonflies, Owls 2

My card uses the Tri Shutter card which can be found on the Fancy Folds and Motion CD.  I’m a huge owl lover and love the newly released Owls stamp, which I stamped out in the centre of the Tri Shutter and then stamped them out again and cut out one of the owls and added them to my end pieces.  I paired them with dies from Cottage Cutz.  The Little Owl die was cut out four times, in various colours and glued together to create a nicely coloured owl.  The Fall Owl Border was glued along the top to add interested to my card.  Designer Paper is a very old matt stack from K&Co.

My card also uses Pennant Set 5 and my sentiment was stamped out using Groovy Love Upper stamp set.

Technique Junkies, Sunflowers and Dragonflies, Whimsical World

As you know, I love to colour and went nuts over this Whimsical World stamp.  I used Prismacolor pencil crayons and odorless mineral spirits to blend out the colour.  I added curly dies to the corners of my image, and for a little interest I sponged on a dark green onto the tips of the die cuts.

Now it’s time to visit Pat Huntoon’s blog where you will find a cool project.
