Dylusions Shaving Cream Technique

Dylusions Shaving Cream Technique

Hi folks!  I’ve been experimenting with Dylusions and wanted to use them in a way I haven’t seen before. Not to say there isn’t another tutorial around, but this time this idea came from my head.  I like using Dylusions for this technique because of the vibrant results, and you know me, I love bright and vibrant.  So let’s get to it shall we.

Before I introduce this technique I would like to point out the stamps I used.  They are Vintage Butterfly Collection and With Sympathy from Technique Junkies.  The white flower is from the Martha Stewart collection.

Supplies:  Dylusions spray, foam shaving cream, plastic container, stir stick

Dylusions Shaving Cream Technique 3

Spray foam shaving cream into container and spread evenly with stir stick

Dylusions Shaving Cream Technique 4

Spray a variety of Dylusions around the shaving cream, keeping colours close

Dylusions Shaving Cream Technique 5

Using your stir stick draw lines in a “U” shape both horizontally and vertically over the entire surface

Dylusions Shaving Cream Technique 6

Place your card stock over the top of the shaving cream and lightly press down on the entire surface of the card stock so you get good coverage with the Dylusions

Using your stir stick, scrape off the excess shaving cream

Your piece is now done.  Leave to dry completely, or you can use your heat gun to speed up the drying process.

No two pieces are alike.  They are all so pretty and unique.

I hope I inspired you to try this technique with your Dylusions or any other spray you may have on hand.

This is such a fun technique.
Yes Beth, I know, I said I was going to do something with mine. 🙁 but I just haven’t gotten any further than a half finished one on my desk. Maybe this week. 🙂
