I’m Getting Married!

Hi folks!  Today I’m sharing something on a personal level.  On 08-18-18 I am getting married to a wonderful man after being together for six years.  Our best friend introduced us and the rest is history, as they say.

I lived on Canada’s east coast (PEI and Nova Scotia) for 14 years and my heart is still there.  Oh how I wish I could move back to Nova Scotia.  Our plans to get married in Cape Breton, overlooking the ocean last summer fell through, so I thought I’d bring the Maritimes home to Ontario, starting with my invitations.  My dear pen friend, Nancy Gibson, had no idea that I’d put her gift of owl dies to such good use.  She sent them to me because I’m a huge owl fan.  There was lots of cutting with these dies for 25 invitations.  The “You’re” “Invited” was custom made by Village Impressions.  Anna-Mae is the owner of Village Impressions and will be happy to accept custom orders at a very reasonable price.

You may wonder how I stamped out “You’re” “Invited” so evenly.  I’m blessed to own a Misti, my new best friend.

This is the inside of my reception invitation.  It uses Technique Junkies Nautical Background stamp on the edges.  If you purchase this stamp, or any other product you can receive 10% off just by using my code TJ10Beth.  We are “eloping” in Niagara Falls at Elope Niagara with just our children present.

For me, my invitations were not complete without adding stamping to the outside of my envelope. This stamp is from Stampn’ Up and is from the set called High Tide.  Believe it or not, I have to tell people I stamped this out as many guests think I bought them already stamped.  Silly people.  LOL.

My reception will be east-coast based complete with homemade seafood lasagna (and a regular one), seafood, and non seafood, appetizers, and nautical decorations and paper plates/napkins.

I am hoping for good weather as it is an outdoor pool party reception.  My dear friend, Vera, insisted I use her back yard.  There will be pictures to follow.

Thanks for hanging in with me for my long post.
