Girls Luncheon Gifts

Every Wednesday mid morning through the afternoon my dear friend Vera has a luncheon for four of us ladies where we are treated to a delicious lunch and after that we bring out our knitting, crochet work, felt work, or whatever we are working on at the time.  I can only attend every other week while I am working 3-11.  We just had our Christmas luncheon and exchanged gifts.

This year I was on the scrounge for something unique to wrap their presents in.  After lots of research I decided to use Inking Idaho’s paper purse tutorial.  The pattern was very easy to follow.  I added embellishments including a ribbon with a charm on each handle.  So I wouldn’t mix up the presents I used my very old Cricut alphabet die cuts and added their initials on the front.

I made one with a thinner paper which I learned wasn’t the best idea.  For three of my papers I used a thicker card stock from a 12 x 12 matt stack and it worked better.  I used velcro circles to keep the tabs closed.

Hope you’re having a great weekend.

Cool! I’ve been waiting and hoping you’d post these! What a fun way to package a gift for your creative group of ladies. I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t be happy to get these…and I’ll bet there was a handmade washcloth inside??? Great job, Beth, AND…I think I actually own these templates! Why have I never used them? Thanks for reminding me to do so! Hugs…

Oh that is neat you all get together like that, so fun. Such a great idea for their gifts, and personalizing them was so neat too!

Aren’t you the crafty one? Those are adorable! And I’m green with envy to have a wonderful weekly lunch like that! Even every other week would be so cool! I’m so starved for real-life artista chums, doubly appreciate my online ones! Like YOOOOUUU! Merry Christmas, Bethie, and Happy New Year! xoxoxo
