Technique Junkies September New Release and Sale

Boo!  Now that I have your attention let me tell you about the spooky details of Technique Junkies’ new release.  As always, newly released stamps are 15% off and if you use my code TJ10Beth, an additional 10% off will be applied, for a total of 25% off.  I have two cards to share with you, so please scroll down for a spooktasticular card.

My card a A2 size (4 1/2″ x 5 1/4″).  I cut a 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ piece of white cardstock and sponged SU Daffodil Delight onto the centre of the card, then sponged with Dusty Durango.  Edges were distressed and black ink was sponged on.  Using Little Checkerboard, I stamped it out on  3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ Cajun Craze cardstock.  Little Checkerboard was stamped out only once so it has the appearance of being distressed.  No clean lines here–LOL.    Finally, I glued all the pieces together, tilted the Little Checkerboard and added black sequins, orange and white twine, and a button.

My card is an A2 size, as above.  Using a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of white cardstock, I sponged on SU Daffodil Delight, Pumpking Pie and Gorgeous Grape in a sweeping back-and-forth motion.  When I was happy with the amount of colour, I lightly wisped some of the colour upwards into the previous colour for a nice blended look.  Next, I took a piece of sponge and using  black VersaFine, I sponged around the entire card.  Where the colour changes took place, I added black ink horizontally.  Wicked Halloween was stamped out, using my Misti, along the very top.  Jack-o-Lantern Border was stamped 2 1/2″ from the top of the card.  To keep with the silhouette feel from the Jack-Lantern Border, I die cut the fence and grass in black cardstock.

Oh wow, it is already September! Love your cards. The blending is great. Can’t believe it is time to make Halloween cards. I think I will send them out this year since we may not have trick or treating. Maybe some treat tags to set at the doorsteps of neighbors too.

You did a fabulous job on these, your inking is just wonderful, I had to laugh on that first sentiment, like your twine and button combo, so fun!
That pumpkin border is just too cool, great spooky scene!

Beth, these are wonderful! The first card is so cool! I was sure that you’d used patterned paper – then I read it was a stamp! Great checks!!! The second card is absolutely perfection – totally diggin’ the sky! It looks like such an eerie Halloween sky. Great job on both cards, dear friend – you rocked this hop!!!
