Coffee Causes my Soul to Dance

Happy New Year to my fellow stampers!

I know a few people who are coffee lovers and drinking it causes their soul to dance.  I’m one of them.  For others, it’s the smell of fresh brewed coffee, even when they do not like to drink coffee.

Instructions for creating my background is below.

As you know, Technique Junkies had their new release on January 1st.  As usual, new stamps are 15% off, but when you use my code TJ10Beth, new stamps are 25% offAll other products are 10% off when you use my code.

A while back, I made a tutorial showing how to colour block using Aurora FlakesThese Flakes can be purchased for 10% off simply by using my code above.

Instructions for Making my Card

Creating My Background:

  1. Cut white cardstock to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and rub your embossing buddy all over the cardstock.
  2. Using VersaMark, stamp Whimsical Coffee Background out and cover with clear embossing powder.
  3. Using Distress Oxides in colours picked raspberry and fossilized amber, I used my Ink Blending Brushes to blend the colour onto my cardstock.
  4. Spritz background with Shimmering Iridescent Bliss Topping.
  5. Once fully dried, iron the decorated front by placing a copy paper on the bottom of your image, and one over top.  Use dry setting.  You will see the embossing powder stick to the top sheet, and that’s a good thing.
  6. Next, colour block using my video for directions.
  7. Finally, add Soul to Dance to the card front.

WOW, 25% off newly released stamps simply by using my code TJ10Beth and 10% all other products in the store!

In the following weeks you will see this same background using different colours of Distress Oxides.

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi Beth! Such a lovely card! Love the color& emboss resist bg split over 3 panels. WOW! I guess the exchange rate w/ the shipping is what you mean? Exchange rate shows it should be 24.15 so I’m guessing it’s the out of control shipping rates making up the difference. So ridiculous!
