One Stamp – Two Looks

Now that Christmas is over, it is time to think about Valentine’s Day.  I have two cards to share with you today.

Before I show you my cards, I would like to draw your attention to the fact you can get 10% off everything in your cart simply by using TJ10Beth. Now that’s a steal, eh?

Instructions for making Valentine Wishes card

  1. Using watercolour paper or 110lb cardstock, streak Distress Oxides in colours picked raspberry, broken china, evergreen bough and fossilized amber randomly onto a non-stick craft mat.
  2. Spritz with water, enough so all of the ink is spritzed.
  3. Lay your cardstock flat into the ink and use your heat tool to set it.
  4. Lightly tap your dry cardstock onto the beaded ink and heat set again.
  5. Wipe clean and repeat process until you are happy with your background.
  6. Once your background is thoroughly dry, stamp out Valentine Wishes.
  7. Use a variety of stencils and place them around Valentine Wishes.
  8. Rub areas with your embossing buddy and take a stencil and press VersaMark over a portion of the stencil and use gold embossing. Heat set the gold embossing powder.
  9. Use whatever pleases you.  On the bottom I used a die and matted onto a piece of black cardstock.

Beautiful mixed media cards. Very nice job, Beth. I am back from my unintentional blogging break. I think I sent you an email a week or so back but maybe i didn’t send it to the right place. I sure hope you are doing well.

Holy cow, Bethie! You have outdone yourself on each of these. What stunning Valentine cards, my friend! Talk about thinking outside the box – I always think of red, white, and black for Valentines! Beautifully done – will sure be casing some of these items at some time! Hugs, pj
