Spread your wings and fly!

I lucked out when I found this SU Little Ladybug for sale on line.  It was a hostess set that I thought I’d never get.  It was a lucky score.

When I worked in a doctor’s office in Nova Scotia I worked with Sharon who did transcription and billing along side myself.  We kept in touch when I moved back to Ontario and I was so happy for her when she told me she was going through to become a nurse.  Sharon just retired so I wanted to send her a card.  I thought this stamp set would be perfect for her.

Three years ago, I took Al out east and showed him where I used to live on Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.  We even met up with Sharon and her husband and had the best lobster mac n cheese in Hall’s Harbour.  We planned on going back out east this summer, but with COVID we decided to see what next summer brings.

Do you have a lucky score story to share?

Such a cute card, Beth! The sky in the background looks fabulous and your “lucky score” stamp set is perfect in the scene.

This is just too cute, brought a smile to my face and I am sure it will to your friend also. Hope it won’t be long and we can take those trips once again 🙂
Any time I have found something I really want and then can get it on sale too, now that has been a lucky score and that has happened a few times 🙂

Totally adorable card, Bethie! Love your sky and hills too. So glad you found a treasured stamp. Can’t think of a recent lucky score but what did pop into my mind was once I really really wanted SU’s A2 square lattice embossing folder but it was no longer sold by them. Someone told me to try ebay and I found someone who sold card stock embossed with one. Bought 5 sheets and the next day I found the folder for sale and scooped it up, good price too. Still have never used those sheets I stupidly bought. That was my first ebay purchase, lol. xoxo
