How to Use Wax Crayons
Are you like a kid, and love to crack open a box of crayons? Mmmm, don’t they smell wonderful? Adults can use crayons too, and today I’ll show you how to use crayons with an iron.
I have three of these ATC’s up for grabs, so leave me a comment and your name will go into a draw.
Supplies:
India Ink/Momento/Stazon
Crayons
Iron
Wax Paper
Copy Paper
Stamp
Stamp out your image, lay it onto an ironing board. Next, place the wax paper down, and then copier paper and iron.
Colour where the heat touched the paper. The wax will melt and will run smoothly. Once your crayons start to stick and won’t melt, put the wax paper over the image, heat set, and continue in the same manner as above.
Your image is now ready to be finished.
A quick and easy tutorial for you this week. I will be on holidays next week, so there will not be a tutorial. Stay tuned for my return.

Beth,
This is an awesome technique! The retired teacher in me misses the crayon smell! Now I have an excuse to get them back out!!!! THANK YOU!

Great project, will have to find my crayons. Your ATC’s are great.
These are just stunning! So vibrant and beautiful and I even have that stamp!
Thanks for the chance. This is a great project, and yes, I love crayons.
What a neat tutorial – I haven’t tried anything like this, but may have to play later 🙂 Thanks
Got to try this tech tomorrow! Have all the ingredients – that old box of brand-new crayons are screaming to be used and this is the best example I’ve seen in a long, long time. Hope I win one of your ATCs so I can compare my efforts with yours, using the same stamp – yep! Another never-used stamping item! Nelda
Wooooh Beth, I love the way you’ve done this technique. I have done something similar, but melted the crayon onto the card first then stamped over it. This is MUCH better and the end result is much nicer.
Thanks again for another great technique.
Another super duper demonstration of all thing awesome!!! Love Viv xxx
What a neat and fun little project. I just may have to try this yet today.
