Tutorial Tuesday: Christmas Invitation

It’s the holiday season and many of us are having parties.  Today’s tutorial shows you how to create your own lovely invitation.  This criss cross card is extra tall so you will have plenty of room to add writing.  Have fun creating your own invitations.

Supplies:  Double-sided paper, double-sided tape, embellishments

Cut the following:

1 – 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 for back of card

2 – 5 1/2 x 6 for front

1 – 4 3/4 x 5 1/2 for mat

1 – 4 1/2 x 5 1/4 top piece

Using the two front pieces, put the wrong sides together

Cut the paper on an angle.  It may be helpful to create a template, like I did, so no mistakes are made cutting into your good paper.

Place double-sided tape on the back of the criss crossed front.  Adhere it to your card back.

My designer paper was so pretty, I chose to cut out the image to decorate my card.

Paper:  Basic Grey

What a lovely tutorial. I am all about the white and blue for Christmas, I am sad with all the vintage colors this year.

Your posts on my blog made me giggle – and let me tell ya I am sooo boring. It took me a long time to come up with those. How embarrassing is it to tell people you like to shoot your DH for fun lollll

You will be seeing a lot more OBP on my blog – *sings* we’ve only just begunnnn
