Make a Tree Set

Hello stampers. How is your week going so far?  I’m busy stamping and knitting.  Being hooked on two hobbies is time-consuming, eh?!

I had fun with this Make a Tree Set of 12 and also In my Prayers. which you can receive at 10% off by using my code TJ10Beth.

I stamped out my tree in brown and coloured the leaves with Tombow markers, adding some shadow onto the bottom of the leaves for extra dimension, and huffed on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamped out the leaves several times.  Next, I added the birds, from Make a Tree Set.

To add even more dimension I sponged ink around the edges of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy 30th Birthday to my son

After owning this stamp set for almost a year, I finally used it for my son’s 30th birthday.  He is crazy about Pandas and visited the Toronto, Canada zoo numerous times just to see the pandas and is known to stand there for two hours at a time.  He wrote the zoo to thank them for bringing in the pandas, on loan from China, and next thing you know he received a letter from Canada’s Prime Minister thanking him for his interest in the Pandas, explaining why it was so important to having them in the Toronto Zoo.  How cool is that?!

So, Adam, happy 30th!

Not my Circus

Hello there.  I hope you are all well and having a great week.

My card uses Technique Junkies Not my Circus.  The technique used is Waxy Window from the August 2014 issue of the Technique Junkie Newsletter.  I picked this technique because I wanted to something unique with this stamp and this technique certainly fits the bill.  You can find the technique here.

Are you interested in receiving 10% off your order? Simply use TJ10Beth.

Did you make any New Years Resolutions?  Mine are all craft related:

  1. Clean up my stamp room (with some help)
  2. Stamp more.  Post more.
  3. Make my Christmas cards early this year.  I’ve already made 8.
  4. Keep my mojo in check.

What are your resolutions?

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday

This card was made for my husband Al who celebrated his birthday recently.

I am so sad that my scenic stamps got lost in my move two years ago.  I had so many Stampscapes sets.  Grrr.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Technique Junkies New Release for 2019

Welcome to the Technique Junkies January 2019 blog hop, highlighting our newly released stamps.  My first card uses the stamp called Joy in your Journey.  My background was created using Shimmering Bliss and Pat’s recent tutorial called Cling Wrap Simmers. Here I used Shimmering Bliss in Smouldering Ash, Golden Olivine and Chestnut Mare.

From today until January 8th you can receive 15% off.  If you use my code TJ10Beth on all other products you will receive 10% off as well.  Technique Junkies is also having a mega sale on stamps that you can see here for as low as 50 cents.

You won’t want to miss a blog so please start at the beginning over at the Design Junkie blog for the links.

This adorable card stole me heart.  The stamp set is called just that, You Stole My Heart.  I used two techniques on this card.  For my banner I used the Shaving Cream using Alcohol Inks technique that I filmed a tutorial for.  For my embossing background I used Shimmering Bliss Smoosh technique that I filmed a tutorial for.

I had a lot of fun with this stamp, stamping and colouring five cards.  This must-have stamp set is called Better with Coffee, Set of 6.  The foam has five different sentiments to place inside the cup.  It colours up quick with Copic markers that I used here.  To make the rings sparkle, I painted the rings with Smouldering Ash Shimmering Bliss.

Happy New Year to you!

Merry Christmas Sarah

After knitting nothing but dishcloths for three years I branched out and knitted a 3 1/2 yard scarf.  When I showed the photo from the pattern book to my daughter, Sarah, she went gaga over it so I suprised her with with scarf for Christmas.  It only took three weeks to knit, sew in the ends and add tassles.  Not bad, eh?  I finished a blue, brown and turquoise scarf for my husband, Al.  It took me by surprise when he said he’d like one.

I have a coworker that wants one, and of course I want one for myself as well so I’ll be busy for a while.  I’ll take the pace a little slower because my stamping did take the back seat as I wanted to get the scarves done in time.

Stay warm!

Merry Christmas to my Coworkers

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Every year it is tradition that I knit each of my 15 coworkers and supervisors dishcloths.  For the past three years I added a hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works now that Sarnia (Canada) has a store.  It is also tradition that I wrap them up differently every year.  Some years I do fancy tags, other years Christmas bells on ribbon.  This year I chose to wrap them in cellophane bags with ribbon.

Do you make things for your coworkers or friends?

Winter Wonderland

Hello fellow stampers.  I made the final six Christmas cards for the year, using Technique Junkies Snowflakes, Set of 9.  I’ll bet you’re saying, “hey, you’re always using that set.”  Truth be told it is my favourite winter stamp set because I have always been in love with snowflakes.  They are so versatile as you can see here where I used a deer die cut and heat embossed gold snowflakes around the edges.

You can get this stamp set, or any other product at 10% off just by using my discount code TJ10Beth.

In the background I used Creaking Trees.  I cut the sentiment off the top of the trees.  The nice thing about cutting the sentiment becomes more versatile.  Added to the right bottom corner is a 3-D Christmas tree embellishment.

Have a great week!
