Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas – Day 3

Hello fellow stampers and friends.  Technique Junkies is doing the 30 days of Christmas and this is the card I made for Day 2 of this delightful series.  To see what the Design Team, and Pat, made you can take a peak on Design Junkies.

I created my card by following a You Tube video.  I made 10 of these cards to send out.

I stamped out Flourished Christmas Tree with white embossing powder and watercoloured with my Distress markers.  Once dried I stamped out Magic of Christmas.

Christmas stamps will be 20% off for the duration of the 30 Days of Christmas.  If you use my code, seen below, you will get an additional 10% off your Christmas stamps.

There is a new challenge up for Technique Junkies which you can see here.  Hope to see you there!

Technique Junkies September New Release

Welcome to the September release of Technique Junkies stamps.  We have a tremendous amount of stamps being released this month, and I’m sure you’ll find something that will inspire you.  There are both autumn and Christmas stamps.

If you arrived from Ro Donner’s blog, you’re on the right track, but if you didn’t, you might want to start from the beginning at the Design Team Blog.  Didn’t Ro do a great job?

This month we have Lydia Fielder as guest designer.

There will be two $100 Technique Junkie gift certificates up for grabs this month.  The more blogs you leave comments on, the better your chances are to win one of those grand prizes.  Gift Certificate winners will be picked on September 5th.

You have until September 8th to purchase any new release for 15% off.

For my first card I created cracked glass on my Beautiful Autumn stamp.  To keep with the crackle theme, I stamped Medium Porcelain Crackle stamp (note:  this stamp is not a new release) onto my background, and finished off the card with a ribbon.

My next card uses the Christmas Cocktail stamp and was a labour of love.  Using my Misti, I coloured one section at a time with a watercolour marker and huffed on that area and stamped. I repeated this step three times for each colour used.  I have a girlfriend that will go bonkers over this card when I give it to her at Christmas.

I think Draped Ornaments is my favourite Christmas stamp released this year, and am so excited to own it.  As you know, I love to colour and have 9 more to colour and turn into Christmas cards.  My sentiment comes from the lovely Gifts of Christmas set where there are five wonderful sentiments. It’s like these two stamps were made for each other.

Finally, my last card uses a Halloween themed stamp. The new release is the sentiment with the broom called We’re Flexible, paired with an older release called Birdie Tree.

I hope you enjoyed my cards. Your next stop is the ubber talented Judy Jackson.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all my readers, and my friends I made through the rubberstamping community.

This card was coloured with Prismacolor pencil crayons in a class I took with Bev Fish, of Fishtale Studio in Wallaceburg, Ontario.

It is my hope to post more in 2017.

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Hi Folks! I was inspired to make six snowmen from something I saw on Pinterest.  The snowmen on Pinterest used a die, where I hand drew my snowmen, scarf and arms.  I used an SU button die and a star die on the scarf and one on the body that is nice and glittery.  I stamped my snowman with Vintage Music from Technique Junkies.  I distressed the edges with brown ink and painted the eyes and nose with acrylic paint.

Christmas will soon be upon us.  May your house be filled with Christmas spirit and lots of joy with family and friends.

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Christmas to my Co-Workers

Each Christmas I give my co-workers my handmade dishcloths, and every year I try to decorate them differently.  This year I used Hero Arts little birds and Technique Junkies Merry Christmas stamp on my handmade gift tag.

Ho Ho Ho

Hello folks.  Are you in the spirit of Christmas?  We had quite the snowfall, and with lots of Christmas music playing in my apartment, presents all wrapped under the tree, it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.

This stamp is called Ho Ho Ho Dog and he was stamped out four times and then masked.  Over top of the mask I used the background stamp called Snowflakes and stamped out my snowflakes.  To be funny, I stamped my dogs in different directions and adhered my images onto Stampin’ Ups! Real Red cardstock.

For my last step I added white stickles to the fur and ball of the hat.

Remember all Technique Junkies Christmas stamps are 25% off until December 15th so order yours today because time is running short.

Triple the Fun with Joyeux Noel

Joyeux Noel   As the Technique Junkies celebrate the 30 Days of Christmas, we are seeing lots of fantastic work from Pat and her design team.

All Christmas stamps are on sale at 25% off from November 15 to December 15.

I used Triple the Fun found here.  The technique is very easy and fun to do.  Last year I made all of my Christmas cards using this technique and the card below is what I made.

Don’t they look so different with traditional and non traditional colours.  Which one is your favourite?  Mine is the non traditional colours.

Joyeux Noel

Hello folks.  Are you filled with as much Christmas spirit as I am?  After making two styles of Christmas cards (this was one of them), I realized 35 cards wasn’t enough so off I am to make 20 more of these Santa cards this evening.

Technique Junkies has a lot of wonderful sentiments that would work for this card, but I settled on Joyeux Noel because French is Canada’s second language and it just somehow felt fitting to use it.

Right now all Christmas stamps are 25% off until December 15th.  You can see all the Christmas stamps here.  Technique Junkies is having the 30 days of Christmas where a new card is made by Pat and the design team for 30 days which runs through to December 15th.  You can see the cards on the Design Junkies blog.

Now onto the deets on my card.  I follow Stamp & Scrap with Frenchie and she posted this card with a video tutorial.  Her tutorial was very easy to follow, thus making 20 of these cards very easy.

Have a very nice day, and thank you for stopping by!

All is Calm, All is Bright

Hello fellow stampers.  This was a very fun card to make as I did some experimenting with clear embossing powder with flecks of silver, which you will see better below.  I had to take my card at this angle so you can see the beauty of the stamp itself.

This Technique Junkies background stamped called Pinecones really intrigued me and after pondering what I was going to do to showcase its’ beauty, I settled on taking a finger dauber and I inked up the pine needles in SU’s Old Olive and sponged the pinecones with Distress Ink in Walnut Stain.  Next, I lightly spritzed the stamp with water to reactivate the ink and quickly stamped it out on vanilla cardstock.

After the image dried, I covered the card front with VersaMark and then sprinkled Tsukinek #06 Sparkle over top and heat embossed.  You can see the sparkle below.

All Christmas stamps are 25% off from November 15 to December 15th.

The last step was to stamp out All is Calm in black, then it was cut with an oval scallop die and sponged the edges using Old Olive.

Thank you for stopping by.  You truly made my day!
