Day 27 of Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas

Christmas Fairy
Hello stampers! This card is one that I made 10 times over, and is the last of my Christmas cards to be made. Yipee! If you’re logged into Splitcoaststampers, you can see the card that I CASEd here.
It was fun working with Lavinia Stamps. I do have many of them to create a variety of scenes. This was the first time I used Lavinia Stamps. Below is a list of stamps and products I used.
Don’t you like how the fairy glows? I used Technique Junkies Imperial Yellow Shimmering Bliss. If you use the discount code TJ10Beth, you can get 10% off this product, or any other product. Another thing that I would like to point out is the smooth finish I achieved by blending my ink with Ink Blending Brushes from Technique Junkies. Using the mentioned discount code, you can also receive 10% off of the brushes. There are so many lovely Christmas sentiments from Technique Junkies that I finally settled on Season Greetings on the outside and Believe in the Magic of Christmas on the inside .
Going on right now is the 30 Days of Christmas at Technique Junkies. Christmas stamps in the Christmas category are 20% off, and you can get an additional 10% off by using my Discount code.

Technique Junkies: Imperial Yellow Shimmering Bliss, Ink Blending Brushes
Lavinia Stamps: LAV212 Stars 2 Mini; LAV532 Single Skeleton Tree; LAV022 Fir Tree; LAV283 Tree Goddess Luna

…and to all a Good Night
Hello folks!
Since November 1st, I have been posting Christmas cards for Technique Junkies, every Tuesday, because it’s the 30 Days of Christmas.
- Smooshed a pink and yellow Distress Ink on a non stick surface, sprayed with water and placed my 5 x 5 cardstock into the wet ink. I moved it around to cover the entire surface
- Once completely dry, I stamped Santa in Moonlight with black Versafine. Using my Misti, I stamped it several times to get the image nice and black
- Next, I used Ink Blending Brushes to blend Night of Navy around the edges
- I cut out a round circular stencil with my circle dies and used the round piece to place over the moon and then I blended Night of Navy around the moon
- Next, I added the sentiment Good Night
- Lastly, I used Snowflakes, Set of 9 (not a Christmas stamp, and not 20% off, but you can use discount TJ10Beth to get 10% off). The smallest snowflake was heat embossed using white embossing powder
- The finished piece was matted on a 6 x 6 card front

Night in Bethlehem
Hello fellow stampers! The Christmas season will soon be upon us, and I have started making my cards. This year I am making 10 of each design. Normally I make 50 of one design, but I have gorgeous Christmas dies and stamps that I want to use. I’ve had this SU set for a couple of years and this is the first time I used it. There are so many pretty cards out there using Stampin’ Ups! Night in Bethlehem stamps and dies.
All I can say is, oh my goodness, it’s already November. That’s when I get in panic mode and put the push to make pretty paper purses to hold small gifts, but this year I’m going to try a new card/gift box holder. If I’m successful, I will post it. Now a dear friend, Patti Gilliam is the queen of all thinks folded. You can visit Patti’s blog Cherish Each Precious Day.
Have a great weekend!

Day 13 of the Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas

Technique Junkies November Release and Discount
Good morning fellow stampers. Wow, are you in for a treat with our November release. There are so many wonderful designs that it was hard to narrow it down to two for my post. As usual, all November release stamps are 15% off, plus you can use my discount code TJ10Beth to receive an addition 10% off. Now that’s a steal!
You will find the list of the Design Team participants below. Click on all of them because there is a beautiful selection of work from such a talented group. Now is the time to start making those Christmas cards!
I fell off my chair when I saw Knitting with Friends because I am a knitter and get together regular with a small group of friends to have lunch and knitting. It’s a good time to catch up on everything new and boy do we enable each other.
I just had to turn them into a Christmas card. I think it’s an adorable card for my knitting group, don’t you think?
My next card uses Snowman. Speaking of snowman, I just love the family movie called Jack Frost. Apparently there is a spooky movie with the same name, which I haven’t seen. I have watched Jack Frost every Christmas season for at least 10 years, or more. There were so many ideas going through my head with this adorable Snowman and I finally settled with this design.
Tutorial:
- Using Blending Brushes, blend Tempting Turquoise onto the background. Oh my goodness, this was my first time using these brushes and being a die-hard sponge user, I instantly became a Blending Brush lover. Look how smooth my background is. White cardstock is 4 3/4″ x 5 3/4″.
- Stamp Real Red Snowflakes, Set of 9. In open areas, stamp small snowflakes with Tempting Turquoise and place sequins on the inside
- Colour Snowman with Prismacolour pencil crayons. Here I used a grey blue and a pink. For the nose a reddish-orange. Fussy Cut the Snowman and adhere snowman to a white oval background. Before lifting it out of the paper, once cut, take the smallest of Blending Brushes and lightly blend Tempting Turquoise around the edge of the die and onto the edge of the white cardstock.
- Cut out a scallop oval in Real Red and using pop dots, add it to the back of the white oval.
- Taking a pink paper that coordinates with the pink on the snowman, cut a 1 1/2″x 4 3/4″ and using the Real Red, cut out a piece that that looks pleasing and add it to your pink. I used a thin line, but you can do a thicker red.
- Add a bow to your cardstock around the pink and red band.
- Add a sentiment. This sentiment came from Snowflakes, Set of 9.
- Finally, add stickles to your buttons and ball of hat.
- Edge in Real Red.

Joyeux Noel
Hello fellow stampers. This photo does not do justice to the beautiful shine and to the watercolour
Ornament 1. The sentiment came from Victorian Greetings. There are six beautiful greetings that you’re sure to love too.
Don’t forget to use DT10Beth to get 10% off these, and any other stamp/product, that isn’t in the clearance rack.
So many times I read that a stamper isn’t pleased with their photography, and this is one of those. Believe me when I say it’s beautiful in real life. I think the photo didn’t caputure the beauty is because I used Koi metallic watercolours.
I’ve been working away on making my Christmas cards. How about you?

Happy Holidays
Hello folks! In need of a quick card? Today I have just the one, using Technique Junkies Reindeer Names. I stamped out my background in SU Real Red.
Next, I placed Happy in my Holidays into my Misti and created a coloured sentiment. Using my Tombow markers, I coloured the sentiment and huffed on the stamp and stamped it out. This was repeated until the right amount of colour was achieved. Using a darker shade of green I coloured the bottom of the sentiment.
Whalaa. Done.
Use TJ10Beth to get 10% off these stamps and any other product excluding the clearance rack.
Have a super day!

Technique Junkies October New Release and Discount
Hello folks! It’s the first of the month and Technique Junkies love to celebrate with a new release and big savings. Today, until October 8th you can receive newly released stamps at 15% off that automatically comes off your shopping cart, AND if you use the code TJ10Beth, an additional 10% is taken off which equals 25% off newly released stamps and 10% off any other product in your shopping card, excluding clearance items. The full October Release can be see here.
My Merry Christmas card uses Poinsettia, set of 4; and Victorian Greetings, set of 6. I die cut the background, adhered designer paper and added my sentiment and poinsettia which I coloured with Prismacolor coloured pencils. I coloured two poinsettias and layered them with pop dots. Pearls were added to the sentiment and the flower.
I love plaid, and was so excited to pair up this darling moose with it. Chris Moose was stamped out and coloured with Prismacolor coloured pencil. Next, I added Crystal Stickles to the white part of the hat, and the Christmas bulbs handing on the antlers. Using Poinsettia, set of 4, I added the small poinsettia to the bottom, using pop dots to give it a 3-D feel. As well, I punched out green leaves and die cut a heart shape using gold cardstock and used pop dots on the star. Brads were added to each corner of the wood grain designer paper.
You can see the full release of stamps for the October New Release here.
Have I inspired you to start thinking about making your Christmas cards? Dare I tell you all my Christmas shopping is done, except for one present? I love the Christmas holiday season.
