Happy Valentine’s Day
Another Gelliplate background and Tim Holtz’s “Bloom Colorize.” I cut a heart using a die, and heat embossed “Love” in gold onto the heart. Pop-dots were used to raise the heart. This card was made for Dear Hubby, Al.
I actually had this card made a month ago. I’m trying hard to keep ahead of the game, with birthday cards, anniversary cards, while working on the journals I have going on.
Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by! Stay safe.

Christmas in the Woods
Happy New Year! I hope you had a nice New Years Eve. Here in Ontario, gatherings are limited to 5 people due to the rapid spread of the new Covid virus. I hope you all stay safe and healthy this year.
2022 is going to be a year to excel in my creativity with the Gelliplate, art journals, and more. This card was created for Carol, one of my besties, who is an artist herself. She has been published in the July 2004 edition of Stampers Sampler where she completed six tags–five with a unique pair of flip flops using ribbon, beads, etc.
From her I am learning to use the GelliPlate and this is one of my backgrounds. I cut my Gelli paper to a slimline size and added some Lavinia Stamps trees and embossed script writing. Because I did not have the stamp to elongate a tree, I elongated the trunk myself using a Micron 05 black pen. Black ink was added to the edges of the Gelli paper and tiny little holes were burned which you can see on the top third of my card. To complete the design I added red twine with a silver-plated silver charm from Michaels. I love the texture mixed media gives.
Carol and I get together throughout each month to work on “art” whether it be teaching each other things or experimenting with things. We’ve had fun making hot glue stencils, learning to burn holes into paper, making art journals, and following along with Somerset Studio and Art Journal magazines to learn more and just have some good laughs and fooling around. Who says women our age can’t be kids again. LOL.
Have a great 2022!

Working with GelliPlate
Two or three times a month, Carol and I get together to make a mess–whether it be with our GelliPlates, inspiration from Somerset Studio and Art Journaling magazines, or working in our art journals, we always have a blast while learning new things. Here, Carol is working on her GelliPlate. Let’s see what I’m up to…
Here you can see one of my Gelliprints and another Gelliprint in the works. I love working with stencils. Carol and I may have different styles and colours, but boy do we learn a lot from each other. Carol’s go to for art journaling is Robyn McClendon and my go to is Carolyn Dube and Susan Rose.

I do sign up for the occasional on-line art workshop. There is just too much to learn, and so little time to do it. I’m still working full-time and trying to learn as much as I can when I’m home. How many of you are familiar with the GelliPlate or even have one? Let me know your successful and not so successful story.

Kiss my Ace
Hello friends! I’ve been having lots of fun with my GelliPlate. I get together with my girlfriend and we play all day. I am particularly pleased with the look of Tennis Racquet Patent and Tennis Sentiments, set of 3. I hear time and time again how stampers love Technique Junkies sarcastic and punny stamps. I do too.

Relax and Renew
Hello fellow stampers. By the 25th of each month I have all of my TJ cards made for the following month. Today I chose to post this particular card because I’m doing just that–relaxing, calming my mind, and renewing my spirit as I’m on vacation for the week. So far it has been quite the whirlwind of a week–and it’s only Tuesday, LOL.
My daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters are down from Ottawa, and if luck wasn’t on our side, my son’s schedule has been free for the last two days, so my little chicks are together again. Yesterday we all had a barbecue out at our trailer and today the boys went boating while my daughter and I went to Good Will. Score!
Any guesses as to how my background was made? It’s Gellipaper. Cool, eh!? I am having so much fun with my Gelliplate. My camera has some samples of Gellipapers created from the 3+ hour workshop.
My card uses an August stamp release called Relax Your Body combined with Dancing Sprigs stencil. These, and other items in your shopping cart, are 10% off just by using my code TJ10Beth.

Memories sweet and fragrant
Memories sweet and fragrant reminds me of summers spent with my grandmother. One of the things she liked to do was to take us mushroom hunting in the woods.
Believe it or not, my background was created using my GelliPlate. My girlfriend and I get together to work on backgrounds and try new things. For example, we spent an afternoon experimenting with kitchen products purchased at a thrift store. We dipped parts of the item into black paint and pressed off black paint. My favourite items were a 2″ mini kitchen grater and a potatoe masher. It’s safe to visit me for dinner because these items are strictly for artwork.
My background uses the Dancing Sprigs Stencil. I just love how my Gelli paper turned out. Stamped over top is Forest Floor. You can get 10% off of these products, or any other product by using code TJ10Beth.
If these products intrigue you, you might be interested in our Gotta Have it All Bundle seen below.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!
