Joyeux Noel

Hello fellow stampers.  This photo does not do justice to the beautiful shine and to the watercolour

Ornament 1.  The sentiment came from Victorian Greetings.  There are six beautiful greetings that you’re sure to love too.

Don’t forget to use DT10Beth to get 10% off these, and any other stamp/product, that isn’t in the clearance rack.

So many times I read that a stamper isn’t pleased with their photography, and this is one of those.  Believe me when I say it’s beautiful in real life.  I think the photo didn’t caputure the beauty is because I used Koi metallic watercolours.

I’ve been working away on making my Christmas cards.  How about you?

Technique Junkies April New Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Technique Junkie’s April new release blog hop, where all new releases are 15% off until April 8th. There are 15 new stamps being released, and we can all use a little bargain, right? No codes needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout, and ongoing is 10% off your order if you use my code TJ10Beth. This can be applied to the rest of your order.   We have a Yahoo group to share artwork and we would love to see you there.

If you came from the ubber talented Judy Jackson’s blog you’re on the right track. You might want to start at Design Junkies so you don’t miss a thing

For my first card I used All the Moms, Set of Three stamp all around the sides of my Pop up Box Card.  You can find the directions to making this box on Splitcoaststampers.  If you order your stamp now, you will have lots of time to get a box made for your mother, as Mother’s Day is fast approaching.  Trust me, this is a very easy card to make.  It may look intimidating but it isn’t.

I stamped Happy Mother’s Day on each flap.  It is just one, of two, Happy Mother’s Day sentiments that come with this set.

Okay, I couldn’t resist doing another fold.  This one is called Tri Shutter Card.  I had lots of fun with this stamp set called Party Chicks, Set of 12.  I coloured my chicks with Copic markers.  Isn’t it fun?

My last card uses the stamp Wildflowers.  She reminds me of myself, a free spirit.  Flower Soft was added to her hair.  I created my background and recently did a tutorial on it called Mixed Media.  I thought it was perfect for this image.  Not in the new release, but is 10% off if you used my code TJ10Beth, is Love Harlequin and Big Flourish.  The background was coloured with Gelatos.

Your next stop is to the talented Lynda Pleckan.

For the Birthday Girl

Splitcoaststampers TLC477, Stamping Bella Poppies

Hi folks! Are you having a good day?  I hope you are.

I had a birthday card to make and couldn’t decide what to do that was unique, so when I saw this card from my blogging friend, Viv, I knew that was the style of card I wanted to make.  As you can see, I was inspired by the way Viv added some ribbon, so I did the same.

I found the directions for the Center Step card on Splitcoaststampers.   There is a step-by-step tutorial as well as a video tutorial.

This card is also for this week’s technique challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  The challenge is to add dots and the technique is called Pointilism.

My Stamping Bella image was coloured with Copics.  My designer paper is an old 6 x 6 pad from BasicGrey.  I’m a designer paper junkie, are you?

Elegant Peony

It’s my first day of two weeks holiday, and I buried myself in the studio all day.  This card was made for Splitcoast Stampers Colour Challenge:  Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss and Elegant Eggplant.  Having run out of Kiwi Kiss, I substituted with Old Olive.

The peony flower was stamped out four times onto watercolour paper, turned over and then watercoloured with Tombow and Stampin’ Up markers.  The decorative rectangle is from SU, and the decorative corners are CB.  Ribbon is from Michaels.

I attended a scrapbook workshop last night over at Stephanie’s house.  Haven’t scrapbooked in over a year and it was so much fun to get back into it, and meeting stampers and scrapbookers in the area.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Go Confidentally in the Direction of Your Dreams

Hi Folks!

Today’s challenge on Splitcoast Stampers is to CASE Teresa–va.sunshine’s gallery.   I decided to case va.sunshine’s, “Peace.”

In CASEing Teresa’s project, I changed the shape of the panels and did a summer theme instead of a Christmas theme.  I loved how she tied her ribbon so I did the same.

Thank you for stopping by.  Hope you have a fabulous week ahead!
