Technique Junkies Awesome April New Release

It’s here!!  April’s new release, and boy are you in for a treat! You have until April 8th to get our newly released stamps at 15% off, which will automatically be deducted in your shopping cart.  For an even bigger discount, simply use TJ10Beth for 10% off your entire purchase, excluding clearance items.

Before I was into “owls” I was a giraffe gal, just like Pat Huntoon. This fun stamp is called Zen Doodle Giraffe. I love zen doodle anything and was thrilled when zen doodle and a giraffe came together as one.  I really hope we see more zen doodle stamps to come.   My sentiment is an older release called Move Your Soul.

As you may be aware, I love to create cards using one stamp and different papers or different layouts.  Because I loved this layout sketch I found on Pinterest, I kept the design and mixed up my papers.

I love poppies.  Poppies remind me of my father because he served the Canadian Armed Forces for 22 years.  This Poppy Field was stamped on 110 lb cardstock and watercoloured with Inktense watercolour pencils.  While the Poppy Field is a new release, the sentiment came from In Full Bloom Sentiments from last month’s release and is subject to a 10% discount only.

Hurray for Anniversary Sentiments!  I wanted to make a masculine card with this sentiment.  We never see enough masculine cards, do we?  Anniversary Sentiments, set of 7 will be a well-used stamp set for sure.

This card was fun to make–it uses one of my favourite techniques–sponging.  I used four different Distress Oxides and blended them onto 110 lb white cardstock.  Then I let it dry over night so my embossing would not stick to the sponged background.  I used white embossing powder on my background stamp, Garden Party, and last month’s release In Full Bloom Sentiments.

First Coffee

Hi fellow stampers.  Well, my stash for home and selling at work is overflowing at the moment.  Just like my red shoes, I love a pop of red.  Don’t you?  This cute critter desperately needs a cup of coffee in the morning (that would be me), and so does the critter on the cards.

Technique Junkies stamps used:  First Coffee and Bunch of Beans.  As always, you can receive a 10% discount simply by using my code below.  Oh happy day!

Cardstock colours, Real Red, Early Espresso and a green shimmery cardstock (name unknown).

Whoop, Whoop, it’s wing night with my group of friends.  The group gets together on Thursdays.  We celebrate birthdays and special events, and the restaurant we go to allows us to bring in our own dessert, and heaven knows there are desserts every month.  It’s a ball of fun for sure.  Do you get out with friends?

Hello folks!  Is it spring yet?  It is in my studio.  I’m surrounded by tulip cards.  I’m wild about this Tulip Background stamp because it screams spring, and after all the snow and rain we received this winter, I say, “Bring it on Spring!”

My Technique Junkies Tulips card was coloured with Prismacolor coloured pencils and odorless mineral spirits.  Using vellum, I stamped out one of the six sentiments from In Full Bloom.  It is a stamp set that works beautifully with spring-like stamps, and stand beautifully on their own.

Inside Out

Hi there!  Inside out you say?!  What’s that all about?  Well, I’ll tell you.  Technique Junkies came out with a beautiful set of stamps called In Full Bloom Sentiments.  They can be paired with floral stamps and they can stand on their own.

Technique Junkies just released new stamps for March, and these are part of what was released.  Until March 8th, you can receive newly released stamps at 15% off, and if you use my code TJ10Beth you can get an extra 10% off.  As you are probably aware, TJ10Beth can be used on almost everything in the store at any time!

Wildly capable is free for any purchase of $30 or more, before taxes and shipping.  Happy shopping!

I made a gift card set using floral designer paper and the sentiments on the outside of the card, and on the inside of the card.  Here are just some of what I put together.

Outside of card:  Live Life in Full Bloom.  Inside of card:  May your Day Bloom with Happiness

Outside of card:  Live like it’s spring every day.  Inside of card:  Live Life in Full Bloom

Outside of card:  friendship is a flower that blooms in all seasons.  Inside of card:  Live Life in full Bloom

Outside of card:  Friends are Flowers in the garden of life.  Inside of card:  Live Life in full Bloom

Outside of card:  May you Day Bloom with Happiness.  Inside of card:  friendship is a flower that blooms in all seasons

Outside of card:  May you Day Bloom with Happiness.  Inside of card:  If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk in my garden forever.

I got my set of cards made up lickity split, and put them in my stash of finished cards.

Card Storage Tip:

I store my finished cards in photo boxes because they are a perfect fit for my A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″).  Al actually came up with a brilliant idea and that was to fold pieces of cardstock in such a way that I could categorize my cards by putting a printed label onto the cardstock.  Then when I need a card, all I have to do is go into one of the boxes and pull out what I need.  Whalaa!  Easy Peasy.

Thanks for stopping by.

Technique Junkies March New Release Celebration is here!

Hello, and welcome to the Technique Junkies March Release Celebration.  Boy, do we have some awesome stamps for you!  All newly released March stamps are 15% off until March 8th, and on top of that, by using my discount code TJ10Beth, you will get an additional 10% off your shopping cart.  It doesn’t get better than this!

One of my favourite things to work with is stencils and sponging ink over top of the stencil.  TJ has a lot of wonderful A Colorful Life Stencils, and you can receive my 10% discount on those as well.  I coloured Easter Basket with Prismacolor coloured pencils and odorless mineral spirits (OMS) and added blue around the edge of my scallop die.  My sentiment is called Happy Easter and is not a new release.

Ahhh, spring!  With all this snow and ice we are having this winter, isn’t it nice to think spring?!  This beautiful tulip stamp is called Tulips Background and is paired with In Full Bloom Sentiments, Set of 6.  The sentiments can stand on their own, or be paired with another stamp quite nicely.  Once again, I used Prismacolor coloured pencils and OMS.

For my third card I used the Cute Cuts technique that I developed for the Technique Junkie Newsletter.  You can see the tutorial here.  If you take a peak at my tutorial, you will see the most adorable 12 x 12 scrapbook layout I did with my dog, Layla.  Back then I had two white chihuahuas and they were just 3 pounds each.  Boy, do I miss them–even after all these years.

For this card I did not use coloured cardstock, rather I used TJ’s Shimmering Bliss on several different sheets of paper, and placed it on a Shaving Cream background.

My stamp is called Wildly Capable and is free with a $30 (before taxes) purchase for the month of March.

A Rose for You

Hello folks!  I’m ready for spring–how about you?  My mom is anxious to get out into her gardens. She just moved from Georgia to Mississippi and has lovely gardens.  Living in Canada, and not being able to plant until June, planting in March is foreign to me, so paper flowers will have to do.

I am in love with this Rose Frame, and I think the TJ design team is too as I see it being posted a lot.  Did you know you can receive this stamp, or any stamp/product, at 10% off simply by using TJ10Beth? And, this month you will receive a stamp called Something Creative stamp for free with your $30 purchase.

Here, I used Inktense watercolour pencils.

Think spring!

Same Stamps, Two Different Looks

Hello folks!  Are you tired on winter yet?  We are expecting our third snow and ice storm this month.  It’s been brutal.  Frankly, I’m ready for spring; to be able to walk outdoors again and hear the birds singing early in the morning.

I’ve been so motivated lately and have been playing in my studio a lot.  As I said before, I love creating and find it so hard to upload, resize, and post to my blog.  I try to get creative as much as I can before I crash and become unmotivated.

I am playing with some new stamps from Technique Junkies and felt motivated to create two different looks, using the same two stamps:  Retro Blooms and Something Creative.

If you use my discount code TJ10Beth you can receive a 10% off your shopping cart.  And guess what?!  With a $30 purchase, you can receive Something Creative FREE!

My card started out like this, for both cards, but in different colours.  I sponged three colours of ink on my cardstock and put my stamp into my Misti and stamped the image out several times.’

Using A Colorful Life Stencil called, Classic Harlequin, I used three colours of Nuvo Mousse.  The directions said to use a soft cloth to apply, so I used a dried out baby wipe cloth and it worked with the Mousse beautifully.

Thanks for hanging in there for my long post.  Have a great week!

A is for Artificial Christmas Tree

Hi folks, I’m late for this challenge in my stamping group.  Had it made in time but was too “lazy” to film it, resize it and post it.  It can be a real mental challenge for me and I wonder how many are in the same boat?

I created my “artificial tree” with scraps of DP and stamped Technique Junkies’ Big Flourish.  It adds a flare like a snow-like breeze surrounding the tree.  You can receive Big Flourish, or any other product that you’d like for 10% off simply by using code TJ10Beth at your checkout.

Thanks for stopping by!
