Masculine Christmas Card

Hello fellow stampers.  Technique Junkies just had a new release.  I love this stamp so much, particularly because it makes a great masculine Christmas card.  I know a few men who would love to receive this card.

If you have not ordered from the new release yet, there is still time to get up to 25% off of the November new release.  You can check out all the new stamps here.  My card uses Woodland Wonders and Santa Mail set of 2 (not a new release).  New release stamps are automatically discounted, and if you add my discount code TJ10Beth, an additional 10% is applied.

Steps to make this card

  1. Stamp Woodland Wonders onto plaid background with VersaMark and sprinkle white embossing powder and heat set.
  2. Your card is ready to be cut to size and decorated at this stage.  Cut newly created background to3 3/4″ x 5″.  If you have a die-cut like I have then this is the time to use it.
  3. Mat your Woodland Wonders background with black, cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″.
  4. Using black ink, stamp out Santa Mail Set of 2.  Cut the image with a circle punch or die cut.  Die cut some greenery.
  5. Place your Santa Mail Set of 2 on the left hand corner and add some greenery underneath. Using a pop dot for your circle really adds dimension.

Thanks for stopping by.  Get creative!

Technique Junkies November Release and Sale

It’s November 1st and Technique Junkies has another great release for you.  It has a little something for everyone, from Hanukkah to Christmas and Thanksgiving.  Here I am sharing the two-set stamp set called Happy Hanukkah set of 2.  My background was gold embossed using Judaica Background.

My card was heat embossed with gold on Almost Navy cardstock.

All of the November 2020 New Release stamps are 15% off through November 8th! We can all use a little bargain, right? No codes needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout.

We have New Stamps and stencils in the Technique Junkies line!  This month we are proud to offer 2 new Technique Junkies stencils, also!

Do you want 25% off your order?  Use the code above to receive an additional 10% off your entire new release discount.  Plus, 10% will be taken off of your other purchases.  Remember, we are not just a stamp company–there are plenty of products for that Junkie in you.  And the savings don’t stop there.  Gotta have it all?  Then check this out…

Canadian Thanksgiving is in October.  Even though there were just five of us for Thanksgiving dinner, I made cards for my family.  I had a lot of fun creating an autumn look.  Below is my process:

  • I stamped my background stamp, Modern Foilage (not a new release) because it is full of leaves.  Stamped onto Dusty Durango and matted on Rich Razzelberry
  • Die cut a leaf and sponged on Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzelberry
  • Stamped Always Thankful onto white cardstock
  • Added borders of coordinating designer paper to the top and bottom of the sentiment.  TIP:  When needing a border as I did with the designer paper, trim two narrow pieces of cardstock/designer paper and glue them along top and bottom.  This saves a lot of paper than when you mat onto a big piece

Just loving the super deal with the Got to Have it All bundle.  For $99.99 you can have the entire November release for $99.99!

Let’s see what the rest of the Design Team has in store for you.

Dreaming of a White Christmas

Hello friends, and fellow stampers!

Everyone dreams of a white Christmas, don’t they?  Even I do.  But let me tell ya something folks!  Snow is romanticized in our heads and in movies.  People think there is something charming about snow.  Don’t forget about us having to shovel out our driveways at 6:00 in the morning just to get to work.  Heck, when I lived on Prince Edward Island, winters were “shoveling to get out in the morning” and “shoveling just to get back into the driveway after work.”

Young people love the snow.  I remember being in my 20’s and walking to church and saying hello to a lady as I entered the church.  I was feeling giddy with the pretty falling snow, and said to the lady leaving the church, “don’t you just love it?”  Her response was a clear “no.”  She added, “you won’t like it when you get to be my age.”  At that time I thought, “right.”  Well folks, I’m in my late 50’s and could do without snow for five months of the year.  I’d like to have snow for two months.

I’m no scrooge when it comes time for the Christmas holidays, and even I love to make cards with snow on them.  I love to romanticize while I’m creating Christmas cards, and I’m sure you do too.

I am so happy that Technique Junkies came out with some new Christmas sentiments.  I don’t have a large collection of Christmas sentiments so this Oh Christmas Treee, set of 4 fits the bill.

Thanks for stopping by.

Looking around for a fun technique?  I can help you out.  I have over 200 photo step-by-step videos and YouTube videos, right here on my blog

Oh Christmas Tree

Hello fellow stampers, and friends!  Yes, I managed to create a Clean and Simple card.  It was a happy accident because I struggle so very much with CAS designs.  I am envious of the artists who can pull it off time-and-time again.

Here I pulled out, for the first time, a lovely Christmas Tree and sentiment from Technique Junkies new Christmas sentiments release called Oh Christmas Tree, set of 4.

Would you believe I have started listening to Christmas music already?  Yup, I’m one of “Those” people.

Thanks for stopping by!

Don’t forget.  I have close to 200 tutorials that I did in photo step-by-step and videos.  Please find at the top of this page

To be honest, these darling pinch-my-cheeks little fellas and gal are having a lot of fun with me.  Today I am showcasing a trio of tags to add that darling touch to my gifts, and even to wine bottles, handmade hot chocolate packages, etc.  Everyone loves a darling touch that says, “I love you.”  Gnome for Christmas, and gnome all year long as far as I’m concerned.

Dreaming of a White Christmas

Olaa!  Technique Junkies has a brand new Christmas sentiment set called Oh Christmas Tree, Set of 4.  The sentiment here has been highlighted with die cuts, designer paper, and black cardstock.  Nothing says traditional Christmas more than these colours, which are so popular this year.  I even own a pair of leggings in the pattern of my designer paper.

I made a set of cards using sentiments from this set, and are going to be the perfect gift for an upcoming birthday.   A set of Christmas cards gives a personal touch that everyone loves.  I love to receive cards.

Have a great weekend!

Holy Night Silent Night

Wow, what an awesome release, eh? (sorry, I’m Canadian and say “eh” all the time).  I hope you had the chance to view the new release work from the Design Team.  My dimensional card uses Holy Night Silent Night to signify a very important event in the village of Bethlehem, of which was added using die cuts.

Using pale blue cardstock, I blended three colours of blue ink onto the cardstock; leaving the ink to air dry over night  (as I made multiples of this card), then added Bethlehem dies.  Once they were in place, I added Holy Night Silent Night with white embossing powder.

Hello folks!  Hope you’re week is off to a good start.  My, has it cooled off, eh?!  Sitting at a bonfire over the weekend was cold.

Hello

Hello folks!  Have you been enjoying the cooler temperatures this week?  Ahhh, so nice.  Living in Southern Ontario, one isn’t used to such a dry, hot summer.  This beautiful summer was a write-off with having to wear my boot cast for 8 weeks.  The cast is now off and I’m going to be starting physiotherapy soon.  No more tripping in pot holes for me!  LOL.

I really like circle stamps, and Modern Circles set of 9, is a fun one to stamp with.  There are so many possibilities.  I encourage you to click on Modern Circles set of 9, to see all the samples from the Design Team.  This set has been popular with us because it is so versatile and can be used for any occasion. Paired with the Circles, is “Hello” from Five Fab Phrases set of 10.  Once again, I encourage you to click on the Five Fab Phrases to see more examples of how the phrases have been used.

Have a great rest of your week!  Thanks for stopping by.
